It might be the heat of the summer here in the Berkshires, but for us Shindy folk it's time to start gearing up for our favorite event of the year! Our applications will open beginning of August so be on the lookout end of July for our "Call to Makers". Or just check back here for updates :)

The Holiday Shindy is coming up on it's 12th year and we can't wait. Pittsfield’s own Shire City Sanctuary will again host one of the most spectacular craft fairs in the region. For years the Holiday Shindy has featured strikingly accomplished artisans selling their wares in this majestic setting and this year will be no different.

Shire City Sanctuary is located at 40 Melville Street in Pittsfield’s Upstreet Cultural District and is a creative re-purposing of the historic Notre Dame church building. A community arts makerspace and eventspace, Shire City Sanctuary houses a screen printing shop, sewing lab, commercial kitchen, meeting space, studios, and cyber offices in the makerspace on the lower level. The former church sanctuary upstairs serves as an inspiring 5,000 square foot eventspace for performances, installations, special events, weddings and more.
